About the Graduate Institute
The
Graduate Institute of European Studies at the Nan-hua University is one
of the two graduate institutes of European research in Taiwan. Some of
the most prominent scholars in the field of European Studies are members
of staff here. Our outstanding research reputation and teaching quality
were confirmed by the
Higher
Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan (HEEACT) in
2010. We have been engaged and proud of
the
atmosphere of friendliness and good staff-student relations.
There are 14 academic members of staff and all actively engaged in
research and teaching. This provides a breadth and depth of expertise
focused around our two groups of elective courses: the economic, social
and cultural group, and the
law and
political group.
We also offer Eurasia Research English Program and Human Security
Program for graduate students to achieve their objectives of research.
Over the last 14 years, members of staff have engaged in the graduate
institute’s basic accomplishments including
humanistic solicitude, communication and European studies, and core
capacities containing independent thought, problem solving,
international horizon, report writing-up and European knowledge.
In the
same period, 124 graduate students have graduated, and over NTD
2,500,000 generated in research and teaching grant income from a wide
variety of sponsors.
