Abstract
The
revolution of information technology has been recognized to bring out the
change of the production, occupational structure and quality of work.
However, many scholars had pessimistically argued that its development
will increase job mismatch and polarize the labor market.(This
study used a second hand data from The Directorate-General of Budget,
Accounting and Statistics of the Executive Yuan ).
The results suggest, in the manufacture sector, there is an obvious trend
of moving abroad to get cheaper labor. In the service sector, an increase
of low-pay, low-skilled work is found. In general, this study found that
female workers did not benefit from the new technological paradigm.
